植樹節(jié)來歷

In addition, in many books and speeches, he repeatedly stressed the harm of deforestation and the importance of afforestation, and personally planted trees. Under the initiative of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, China had the first provisions in July 30, 1920, the annual Qingming Festival for planting trees. On March 12, 1925, after Sun Yat-sens death, it was decided that March 12, the day of Sun Yat-sens death, would be designated as Arbor Day to commemorate his achievements in advocating afforestation.
