《I used to be afraid of the dark》教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

　　Teaching steps:

　　Step 1 Dictation

　　Have a dictation of the new words which were learned in the last class.

　　Step2 English speech

　　Have a student named Ru Shuting give an English speech.

　　Step 3 Review

　　Teacher shows some pictures and have the students describe the person with “used to ” and “now”。

　　Eg: She used to be short ,but now she is very tall.

　　Step 4 Presention

　　1a Have Ss check （√）the things they used to like when they were a child.Then ask like this:Did you use to have gym class?

　　Step 5 Listening

　　2a Have Ss listen and check （√） the sentences they hear. And then write （T） or （F）。

　　Step 6 Practice

　　2b What do the girl and the boy say about things in the past and now? Fill in the chart.

　　2c: Pairwork : Compare yourself with your partner.

　　Step 7 Exercise

　　Have Ss do the exercises on the teaching paper ,then check the answers with the students.

　　Step 8 Writing

　　Practice writing:

　　1.What do you usually do now ?

　　2.What did you use to do in the past?

　　3.Did you use to go fishing, do sports or paint pictures?

　　Teacher tells Ss to write a passage to describe what they used to do when they were a child and then read it to their classmates. Be sure to use “used to”。

　　Step9 Reading

　　Ask two students to read their passages to the class.
